About Director Performance Marketing & Analytics

The ideal candidate will be prepared to join an innovative and growing team in the retail energy industry.  This person will thrive on tackling big challenges, working with data to extract core insights, and collaborating with people at all levels of an organization. While this candidate will primarily focus on leading performance marketing and building core customer insights, they will be prepared to pitch in whenever and wherever to make the team successful.

 

Responsibilities

·         Performance Marketing

o   Assist in the development of overall marketing and sales planning

o   Translate overall marketing and sales goals into channel-specific strategies and action/spend plans to achieve KPI’s

o   Lead the day-to-day execution of performance marketing activities

o   Design, develop, implement, monitor A/B tests across the conversion funnel

o   Monitor system, account, channel performance to identify and act on issues and opportunities

o   Monitor external market trends, internal corporate changes, customer behavior and competitor activity to identify risks and opportunities early and assist in action planning

o   Build a roadmap of new technologies, channels, techniques, etc. for testing in our stack

·         Analysis

o   Generate hypotheses related to improving business and marketing outcomes

o   Assist in the identification and evaluation of new tools, data streams, technologies to enhance customer acquisition and retention

o   Collaborate with Data Science to design and implement statistical/analytical studies to update existing and identify new core insights that lead to better business decisions

o   Design, build, and run reports to communicate performance against KPI’s and explain new insights

·         Rhythm Citizen

o   Provide direction to and manage performance of agencies

o   Mentor junior staff to make them leaders of tomorrow

Qualifications

·         Willingness to learn, be a self-starter, with a “get-it-done” attitude

·         Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, e.g., Math, Science, Engineering, Economics

·         3-5 years of experiences with hands-on performance marketing or growth hacking

·         Account planning experience – developing channel strategy and setting targets and budgets

·         Experience acquiring customers on Facebook, Instagram, Google/Bing Search, Email, Display, Addressable TV, YouTube

·         Experience with Web Analytics Tools, i.e., Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, DCM

·         Experience leading and executing tracking, attribution, and ROI analyses

·         Experience working in early-stage companies

·         Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, SQL

·         Experience leading teams and developing junior staff

·         Experience acquiring customers using Influencers, Direct Mail, Radio, TV, a plus

·         Experience with automation, campaign management, CDP, DSP, CRM tools, a plus

·         Passion for renewable energy, conservation, and sustainability a plus

 

Geography

·         Rhythm is headquartered in Houston, Texas with plans for a New York City area office in 2021

·         Preference will be given to candidates in Houston or NYC area

·         Non-Houston candidates will be expected to travel ~25%-50% of the time in their first year
