What is This Position About?  

The Content Specialist will be responsible for taking ideas and making them a reality by preparing creative and original written and graphic content that is well structured, comprehensive, and draws the user in. He or she will handle marketing content creation, including, but not limited to, the development of marketing materials such as graphics, newsletters, flyers, and other digital and print publications, social media and email marketing campaigns, and website content. The Content Specialist will monitor, analyze, and report on key performance metrics (KPIs) and leverage that information to perform optimizations to improve program performance. Additionally, he or she will manage all social media accounts.

A competitive candidate for this position will be highly organized and detail oriented, with strong writing, creation, and proofreading abilities. He or she will be energized by working within a creative, professional space and will have experience working with creative people. He or she will be able to self-generate projects and ideas and execute those ideas through to completion either independently or with little assistance from management. He or she will be an effective prioritizer to ensure efficiency. He or she will be knowledgeable of platforms such as Adobe CS6 and WordPress and have the ability to create visually appealing graphics for use in a variety of formats. He or she will have experience coordinating digital marketing activities and will be knowledgeable in the best practices for account management and optimization. He or she will be comfortable with computers and will adapt to new software platforms quickly. He or she will be skilled at general office tasks and will excel at both written and verbal communication. Most importantly, he or she will have a genuine desire to meet the needs of others.

 

 

What Will You Be Responsible For?  

 

●        Develop, prepare, and disseminate internal and external communications including, but not limited to, fliers, pamphlets, newsletters, annual reports, and press releases

●        Utilize creative thinking, research, and original writing to develop unique content

●        Collaborate with team members to discuss content requirements, core messaging and target audiences

●        Daily management of social media accounts

●        Coordination of email marketing activities

●        Coordination with vendors including, but not limited to, graphic designers, web developers, and printers

●        Updating and monitoring questionnaires, webinars, and the company website

●        Analyze key performance metrics for all digital marketing platforms and optimize and adjust based on results

●        Collaborate with other departments to develop and refine marketing personas

●        Manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced, agile environment

●        Other duties as assigned

 

What Qualifications Do You Need?  

 

●        Bachelor’s degree preferred

●        Minimum 3 years of marketing experience required

●        Experience creating digital content that is informative, unique, and effective in converting the end user

●        Possess strong creative and editorial skillset: writing, editing, reviewing, and quality control

●        Proficient writing skills including clear, concise, and grammatically correct copy, both short-form and long-form

●        Ability to utilize brand voice and adhere to brand guidelines, including ensuring consistency of voice and focus throughout written content pieces

●        Demonstrated sense of responsibility

●        Demonstrated ability to multi-task and adhere to deadline

●        Ability to work independently and self-generate projects and ideas

●        Ability to work well under pressure 

●        Strong attention to detail and follow up

●        Advanced graphic design skills

●        Advanced WordPress management experience

●        Advanced experience in Adobe

●        Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office programs 

●        Excellent computer skills

●        Growth mindset and adaptability to keep up with frequently changing industry
