Long Capture & Contract Management (LCCM) is a government contract consulting firm laser-focused on capturing research and development contracts for cutting edge commercial technology through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and other Department of Defense (DoD) programs. The federal government is the single largest purchaser of goods and services in the world, but the way the federal government conducts business is far different than the private sector. The solicitation procedures, evaluation processes, and terms and conditions are complex, confusing, and oftentimes frustrating. Through training, consulting, webinars, and events, our team of Veteran Capture Strategists leverage billions of dollars of federal acquisition experience to demystify the acquisitions process and capture millions in government funding for our clients while delivering world-class technology to the warfighter.

Position Description

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for translating department-level goals and strategies into executable marketing-focused projects, including, but not limited to, the development of marketing materials such as graphics, newsletters, flyers, and other digital and print publications, social media and email marketing campaigns, and planning and executing events. In addition, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing key performance metrics (KPIs) and leveraging that information to perform optimizations to improve program performance. Additionally, he or she will oversee the work of the Project Coordinator and delegate tasks to him or her as appropriate.

A competitive candidate for this position will be professional, polite, organized, detail-oriented, and efficient. He or she will be able to self-generate projects and ideas and execute those ideas through to completion either independently or with little assistance from management. He or she will be an effective prioritizer and delegator to ensure efficiency. He or she will be knowledgeable of Adobe CS6 and have the ability to create visually appealing graphics for use in a variety of formats. He or she will have experience coordinating digital marketing activities and will be knowledgeable in the best practices for account management and optimization. He or she will be comfortable with computers and will adapt to new software platforms quickly. He or she will be skilled at general office tasks and will excel at both written and verbal communication. Most importantly, he or she will have a genuine desire to meet the needs of others.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop, prepare, and disseminate internal and external communications including, but not limited to, fliers, pamphlets, newsletters, annual reports, and press releases with the assistance of the Project Coordinator

  • Daily management of social media accounts

  • Coordination of email marketing activities

  • Coordination with vendors including, but not limited to, graphic designers, web developers, and printers

  • Updating and monitoring questionnaires, webinars, and the company website

  • Analyze performance and analytics for all platforms and optimize and adjust based on results

  • Organizing company conferences and major events

  • Collaboration with other departments to develop and refine marketing personas

  • Other duties as assigned


Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • 3-5 years of marketing experience

  • Management experience in a marketing environment preferred

  • Experience managing social media accounts, specifically LinkedIn

  • Experience managing paid search ad campaigns

  • Digital Marketing certification preferred

  • Excellent content management and creation skills

  • Strong attention to detail and follow up

  • Advanced graphic design skills

  • Advanced WordPress management experience 

  • Advanced experience in Adobe

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Demonstrated sense of responsibility 

  • Ability to work independently and self-generate projects and ideas

  • Strong attention to detail and follow up

  • Excellent computer skills

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, GSuite, Digital Marketing platforms
