What we are looking for:
Infrascale is expanding its presence in the market and is looking for top notch IT talent to help expand our world class Information Technology Support team. The Director, IT Support will be responsible for managing all IT support strategy, functions and personnel within Infrascale. The ideal candidate for this role is familiar with setting strategy for and managing a large set of systems and technical desktop support issues in small, medium, and large enterprises. In addition to managing the team, the candidate will need to be a hands-on contributor with a well-versed technical desktop support background.   This position reports to the VP, Global IT & Cloud Operations and will reside in our Reston, VA office.

What you will do:
* Develop, implement and maintain the corporate IT support strategy. This includes building a roadmap of IT projects which align to the companies support needs, maintaining control over IT spend and aligning support initiatives to ongoing compliance and security roadmaps.
* Manage and lead a team responsible for delivering IT technical support for Infrascale corporate employees and systems.
* Work directly with Infrascale executive staff and business leads to ensure the highest level of service is being maintained across all business units. Provide updates on technical support initiatives and issues.
* Provide direct IT support assistance to the executive team and extended leadership staff as required.
* Work with third party vendors for contract negotiations, asset purchasing and relationship management.
* Maintain the IT support budget for all software and hardware assets.  Work directly with finance teams to ensure consistent alignment.
* Deliver reporting and metrics to demonstrate the health of the IT support program. 
* Assist in managing corporate IT systems required to provide IT services to Infrascale US corporate employees
* Design, develop, and implement processes, systems, and technology to support and enhance the technical support function, including workflow and incident management
* Develop and implement practices that measure the effectiveness and performance of the Technical Support Function

What you will bring to the table:
* BA or BS degree in an IS or related field preferred
* 10+ years of relevant technical support experience to include at least 5 years in an IT management role
* Background in the development and management of remote support groups, international support groups and 24 x 7 support operations
* Expertise in developing metrics to measure the effectiveness of technical support within the organization
* Familiarity with systems operations and management environments within large enterprise customers and/or service providers
* Experience in working with CRM or incident tracking and management systems
* Experience with MAC OS, MAC hardware, and Microsoft desktop operating systems
* Experience performing PC hardware and support
* Experience with Microsoft office applications and Microsoft SharePoint
* Experience with supporting common corporate IT infrastructure such as phone systems fax machines, printers, copiers and other networked devices
* Experience with Server virtualization and server OS’es such as Windows Server editions and Linux distros
* Experience with Microsoft exchange mailbox management and servers
* Experience in both small and large companies is highly desirable
* Experience supporting Executive level staff is desirable
* Experience with financial billing tools and HR systems is desirable
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to work cross functionally and globally to achieve successful outcomes for complex business objectives
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
* Sense of humor and intellectual curiosity
