What we are looking for:

Infrascale is expanding its presence and is looking for top notch product marketing talent to craft and deliver our message to customers and analysts. The Director, Product Marketing will be the center of the Infrascale go-to-market strategy – having keen awareness of the market – and act as the hub for product-market interaction.   This individual is a perfect blend of hands-on product marketing (doer), product strategist (thinker), and leader.  They must champion the customer and their needs (thru personas, voice, journey, decision process); educate and enforce product knowledge for internal teams; and crisply articulate business strategy with ease.   


This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer (who leads product management, engineering, and product operations).  


What you will do:

·        Consistent and deliberate execution in service of advocacy for our customers 

·        Perform market, customer, and competitive intelligence/research to  

o   Segment the market and produce insights  

o   Seek out opportunities and identify challenges (and our response) 

o   Stay abreast of pricing / distinguishing value propositions / press releases 

o   Find solutions for successful product entry 

·        Craft, deliver, and deploy differentiated messaging and compelling content/stories that communicate product value to the market – including, but not limited to battle cards, pricing sheets, etc. 

·        Lead new product/feature launches – inclusive of product release calendar communications (with the product management team) 

·        Transparently and effectively communicate plans with executive leaders 

·        Bold leadership for experimentation, testing, and new approaches  

·        Create, implement, and refine programs to drive awareness and engagement: 

o   Collaborate with demand team to build and execute high-response campaigns 

o   Enable sales and strategic partners with an adequate tool kit 

o   Evangelize the products/company 

o   Assist field marketing with events and other activities 

o   Spearhead account-based marketing (ABM) initiatives 

o   Champion customer advocacy 

o   Lead initiatives for influencer and analyst relations 

·        Drive business outcomes thru analytical insight and uncompromising attention to OKRs 

·        Build and manage the performance of a new product marketing team 



What you will bring to the table:

·        BA in marketing or business, BS in computer science or engineering, or related degree

o   Master of Business Administration desired 

·        10+ years of B2B technology experience 

o   7+ years of experience in product management or product marketing  

o   2+ years of people management (must be able to build/manage team)  

·        Background in cloud, backup, and/or disaster recovery technologies highly desired 

·        Expertise in driving to and measuring successful product launch outcomes 

·        Experience in both small and large companies with the ability to bring large company best practices to bear   

·        Excellent communication skills 

o   Must be able to listen keenly as to validate hypotheses and uncover insights 

o   Must be able to deliver clear, compelling, and articulate written and verbal communications/arguments 

o   Must be able to command and sustain attention, and be a natural, authentic storyteller and entertainer 

o   Ability to drive development and consensus on technology investment goals 

·        Ability to manage, influence, and persuade all levels of the organization

·        Ability to analyze and interpret disparate datasets to derive insights 

o   Intuition to challenge conclusions based solely on data patterns 

o   Willingness to change direction based on results illustrated through analytics 

·        Ability to develop and deliver business cases for technology purchases 

·        Penchant and appreciation for project planning and management 

·        Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

·        Sense of humor and intellectual curiosity


·         Portfolio requested:   

o   Provide examples of go-to-market strategies and programs for prior roles in enterprise technology or service providers, with the corresponding impact & outcomes 

o   Provide examples of brand, digital marketing, and creative prowess
