WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING


Participants in the sales internship program support the daily sales team operations of 6AM City, a local media company connecting communities through conversation, and redefining the way news and events are shared locally through a daily morning email, web, and social content. Our brand aims to provide readers with everything they need to know to start their day.

 

Must be available 15-20 hours per week in order to qualify for the internship program. Typical office hours are M-F, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. This internship is paid and may qualify for college credit.


Through this internship, we are looking to find the next wave of talent to drive hiring efforts.


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Identify, qualify and deliver new prospects as needed to support our sales strategy.

  • Develop qualified leads using established criteria and coordinate discovery meetings with our Sales Team.

  • Support our Sales Team in pursuing designated market segments.

  • Engage prospects using phone, email, and social media platforms.

  • Track and manage prospecting, qualification, and nurture activities in Hubspot (CRM).

  • Support the development and updating of case studies and sales proposals. 

  • Support the sales team in weekly initiatives.

  • Ability to take ownership of assigned projects and complete them in a timely manner.

 

REQUIREMENTS


  • Pursuing a career in sales, media, marketing, communications, digital/social media, or similar.

  • Prior awareness of 6AM City or any of its local brands. 

  • Proven track record of hard work and team contribution. 

  • Self-starter with leadership skills and a passion for communicating information.

  • Skilled communicator and researcher. 

  • Passionate about the local community.

  • Work effectively with a team and individually in a fast-paced environment with daily deadlines.
