WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The Branded Content Editor will directly support the strategy, creation, and placement of Branded Content; and more. From creating dynamic content (from written articles to video to social) within the 6AM tone + style to closely following the process of how we fulfill advertiser contracts, this role is perfect for someone who is organized and efficient with a self-starting attitude and follow-through, while also passionate about content creation and thinking creatively.

Reporting directly to the Director of Branded Content, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in this role; working collaboratively with 6AM’s Sales, Account Management, and Editorial teams to fulfill and exceed client expectations. You will need to have excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple content requests and fulfillment effectively and efficiently, and the curiosity to learn about a wide range of advertising partners and industries to create interesting, dynamic branded content for the 6AM products.

  • Sourcing relevant advertiser content by following partners’ social media and website presence. Are you someone who can spot trending content first on your newsfeed?

  • Assisting Account Management in Partnership Planning Meetings for new and/or recurring clients.

  • Assisting with guiding timelines and deliverables for branded content elements in a client’s contract.

  • Assisting in communicating with Account Management to answer any questions regarding branded content ad specifications to ensure smooth and timely branded content creation and placement.

  • Assisting in liaising some branded content communication between client, Account Management, and Editorial on a per-case basis.

  • Understanding brand guidelines and aesthetics to ensure a balance between both our brand’s tone/style and clients’ requests.

  • Understanding and advising internal departments’ workflows, ensuring on-time delivery on all aspects of branded content.

  • Coordinating with Editorial team members to organize content inclusion across multiple markets.

  • Communicating with Editorial teams to effectively manage and track “earned” advertiser mentions.

  • Monitoring products to ensure client content runs properly and does not conflict with other paid or earned content/ads.

  • Publishing branded content directly to WordPress and our newsletter platform, Sailthru.

  • Scheduling/publishing branded content social media posts using Sprout Social, Later, and native Instagram.

  • Supporting Director of Branded Content as needed with updates to workflows and improved processes.
