Newly created role of Vice President of Sales will report to the CEO as part of the leadership team, and have both leadership and hands-on individual contributor responsibilities. The role is a critical part of a small leadership team being built to collaborate with existing company leadership to guide the build-out of our national footprint and sales infrastructure which will support the operation of 50+ markets in the United States. The position will interface extensively with key stakeholders both internally and externally, including direct reports in sales management.

The VP of Sales is responsible for overseeing an industry leading local, regional, and national advertising offering that is designed to deliver for both advertisers and the company. This individual will define, direct, and deploy a scalable selling and performance process that will enable 6AM to triple revenue over the course of the next 12-18 months. This position will work closely with leadership to ensure that sales opportunities align with content strategy. 

  • Build and lead a team of 30+ sales professionals – scaling seamlessly in all 6AM City markets and ensure we attract a strong mix of local, regional, and national advertising partners. 

  • Sales strategy – design, develop, and implement short and long term sales strategies.

  • Industry leading sales messaging – development and deployment of internal sales resources and external sales materials.

  • Define KPIs and develop action plans – guide and support the sales team as they meet and exceed revenue goals. 

  • Develop and communicate sales goals and performance incentives – drive results and professional development.

  • Support team of Sales Managers – day to day support, oversight, and communication. 

  • Explore, research, and recommend changes in product inventory – ensure we are constantly delivering high impact and scalable advertising products. 

  • Process – Manage and continuously improve the sales process, tools, training, etc.

  • Manage advertising offerings – pricing, inventory, campaigns, regions, future opportunities, etc. 

  • Establish synergy with the revenue team – branded content and account management.

  • Build, lead, direct, and inspire a winning team – achieving goals, coaching, career pathing, and supporting headcount growth decisions.

We are looking for team members with strong and diverse knowledge of local, regional, and national sales with a track record of success in digital media.

  • Experience: 7+ years working in digital media sales, 5+ years in sales management.

  • Data Driven Leader: Proven track record with a passion for data driven decision making.

  • Product Knowledge: Background in content marketing and performance/analytics reporting.
