WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

6AM City is seeking a high-performing, entrepreneurial sales leader to drive revenue growth and expand national brand partnerships with some of the biggest brands in the U.S. 

You will be selling an engaged audience of millions reaching hundreds of cities across the country. 

As a Sales Executive of National Brand Partnerships, you’ll own the full sales cycle — from prospecting and pitching to closing and growing — while creating advertising solutions across digital, social, custom content, and newsletter channels that connect our fast-growing audience with top-tier brands like Adidas, Aflac, Bank of America, Home Depot, and FanDuel.

In this pivotal role, you’ll leverage your existing relationships and track record to generate momentum and drive growth with both new and current national advertisers and agencies — delivering measurable results that exceed expectations.

We’re looking for a builder — someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, embraces process, and constantly looks for ways to optimize how we sell, collaborate, and grow. You’ll play a key role in shaping our strategy, offerings, and future growth.

This role will report directly to the VP, Sales.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate 6AM City’s value proposition across digital, newsletter, branded content, and event offerings

  • Build and manage a strong book of business focused on long-term, high-value partnerships

  • Prospect, cultivate, and develop relationships with senior decision-makers at national brands and agencies

  • Lead full-cycle sales efforts—from prospecting to pitching, negotiating, and closing deals

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop tailored partnership strategies and proposals that align with client goals and drive company revenue

  • Leverage existing client relationships to identify upsell opportunities through new product offerings, additional inventory, and renewals 

  • Develop compelling, customized proposals outlining big content ideas along with detailed scope, deliverables, and pricing for clients based on their objectives

  • Identify influences and trends in the marketplace to create innovative new business offerings and sales strategies

  • Consistently meet and exceed sales performance and revenue targets

 

WE’D BE FIRED UP IF YOU HAVE SOME OF THESE SKILLS

 

  • 5+ years of experience in national media sales with a track record of exceeding revenue goals

  • Strong existing relationships with national brands and a diverse knowledge of the national brand advertising landscape

  • Knowledge, experience, and passion for digital media, brand marketing, and strategic partnerships

  • Proven success breaking new business/categories using strategic outreach, meetings, event attendance, entertainment, thoughtful proactive solutions, etc.

  • Proven success in packaging, negotiating, and selling integrated media campaigns, including branded content

  • Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills

  • Optimistic relationship builder – you love speaking with people in person, on the phone, over email, etc.

  • Client-facing experience – you maintain the highest level of professionalism and show excellent judgment in dealing with clients and colleagues

  • Self-motivated – you love figuring things out for yourself and iterating on your solutions

  • Results-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects on tight deadlines
