Supply Chain Manager: 

Do you have a vision for long-term success? Are you passionate about improving supply chain processes and practices? Seal Shield has a new opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager reporting to the Senior Vice President of Supply Chain.

Coordinate warehousing, inventory control, logistics follow-up, and long-term process improvements. Due to extreme growth in the demand of our products, there will be an immediate need for project management to facilitate short-term ramp-up while keeping perspective of longer-term best practices deployment. As our supply base grows to meet the increased demand, attention to implementing best practices, lean methodologies, and a continuous improvement mindset will be instrumental for the success of this role.

Duties and responsibilities:

OPS & SCM Methodology:
• Coordinates supply chain functions through strategy, resource optimization, and KPIs, resulting in the maximization of customer satisfaction.
• Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions promptly.
• Monitors and manages correct inventory levels at outside warehouses (3PL) through consumption-based replenishment systems.
• Member of the Operations Staff, responsible to routinely report on department KPIs along with appropriate analysis and countermeasures where necessary.
• Maintain a total cost perspective with a lean manufacturing mindset.
• Experience with quarterly inventory cycle counts and annual physical counts and reconciliation.

Vendor Interface and Monitoring:
• Play a crucial role in developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors (both contract manufacturers and logistics).
• Professional communication when negotiating pricing and solutions with vendors.
• Proactively engage vendors in identifying potential issues, resolutions, and opportunities via phone, email, and face-to-face on-site.
• Coordinate and communicate solutions that create value, decreasing problems, and preemptively solve consistent issues.

Logistics Interface and Monitoring:
• Assume oversight for Freight Claims tracking.

NetSuite (ERP):
• Previous experience with NetSuite (recommended)
• Experience in enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Be a key member on the implementation team of a new NetSuite integrated replenishment system Team Support:
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams in a timely and friendly manner.
• Create, maintain, and update process documentation as requested.
• Develop, document, and implement procedures both internally and with outside vendors.

Qualifications:
• High proficiency in Microsoft office (Advanced knowledge of Excel)
• 4-year degree in Operations or Supply Chain
• Keep current with trends and best practices for Operations, Warehousing, and Supply Chain Logistics
• 2+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain and/or Operations Management.
• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance, the team’s performance, and the impact on the company’s success.
• Ability to lead, train, mentor, and evaluate others on a personal and professional level.
• Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects, maintain focus, and adapt to a variety of challenges.
• Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
• Strong professional communication (both verbal and written) skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong sense of time organization and urgency
• Independent capability of leading and executing projects

Working conditions:
In addition to normal working hours, this position will require occasional after-work dinners and events, as well as, travel related to trade shows, vendor engagements, and team building events during off-peak business hours.

Physical requirements
Most of the work in this position will be office based. Multiple times a year, this role will join the Operations Team in hands-on physical inventory counts at our locations. Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs during these counts is required.
