About the role: We are looking for a contract UX Designer to assist on specific projects for software interfaces in our products.
This as-needed, contract role will work directly with our Motic Digital Pathology division. You must be authorized to work in the United States.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Apply modern day UX design principles to create interfaces to meet our market needs
- Understand product specifications and user psychology and predict what might work for both
- Partner with the technical project management team, engineering teams, and Director of pathology to produce high-quality solutions
- Provide guidance on the implementation of UX research techniques and testing activities to assess user behavior
- Perform tests on user interface elements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in design or computer-related programs such as Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)
- Ability to learn and understand the needs of the medical field and technical requirements of optics operations
- Proven experience with HTML/CSS and JavaScript
- Knowledge of industry tools like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Problem solving skills to determine solutions to user interface challenges
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Attention to detail and mastery of information design
