THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION (MUST LIVE IN AND BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE USA OR CANADA)

PGP (The Public Good Projects) is seeking a full-time Senior Content Analyst. This new role is responsible for analyzing quantitative marketing data across our programs to understand what content is (or is not) resonating with people, why, and how it could be optimized. Our content covers a wide range of health topics tailored to various audiences. This person will also be a key contributor to the development and execution of our communications and content strategy.

We're looking for someone who is a curious, creative, collaborative, data-driven thinker to join our Communications team. An ideal candidate is comfortable working on multiple projects and topic areas with varying deadlines. If you truly enjoy discovering and sharing insights, collaborating with teammates from different backgrounds, telling the story of content performance, and applying learnings across new work - you may have found your dream job! The Senior Content Analyst will report to the VP of Communications.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Specific duties include, but may not be limited to:

  • Conduct in-depth analyses of marketing metrics and content engagement trends, identifying patterns and connections across different programs and campaigns.

    • Digital channels include but are not limited to social media, paid media, influencer marketing, email, websites, and SMS.

  • Share insights and recommendations in a range of internal settings, from creative content brainstorms to executive team briefings.

  • Partner with analytics and operations staff to integrate datasets and build dashboards and data visualizations to automate reporting whenever possible.

  • Lead collaboration with paid and social media teams to draw insights between emerging content trends and best practices with patterns in PGP’s content performance.

  • Lead collaboration with content implementation teams to standardize how individual pieces of content can be tracked across channels and campaigns.

  • Establish and update cross-channel performance benchmarks based on secondary industry data as well PGP performance data.

  • Stay current with ever-evolving social media metrics, technology advances in digital media measurement, and how privacy policies and regulation impact how platforms collect and share data.

    • Proactively share updates and recommendations for how we track and evaluate our work.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • 5+ years of experience in digital, social, or media strategy and analytics, including at least one year of direct data analysis and reporting responsibilities.

  • Experience leading content analyses that informed strategic recommendations.

  • Experience extracting and analyzing data from a range of digital platforms, such as Google Analytics (ideally GA4), Meta, YouTube, Adwords, Semrush, CRM software like HubSpot, and social media management platforms like Sprout.

  • Ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of marketing and content principles, including analytics, SEO, and social media.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, learn, and apply new and emerging technologies to gather insights or analyze content performance.

  • Attention to detail in communication, time management, and data. Expects high-quality deliverables of themselves and others.

  • Aligned to PGP’s values and passionate about public health.

  • Preferred experience collaborating with teams to integrate datasets and build dashboards; experience with Looker Studio, Microsoft Clarity, and/or Databox.

  • Preferred experience conducting content audits for CMS platforms.

  • Preferred experience with health-related communications.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • You often get lost in data “rabbit holes,” continuously asking new questions throughout your analysis, while also not losing sight of the key questions you’re trying to answer.

  • You love sharing what you’ve learned, maybe even more than digging into the data itself, and are adept at explaining your findings in a variety of formats.

  • You proactively observe opportunities for new analyses and share findings and ideas even if the work wasn’t specifically assigned.

  • You love using data to make things better, whether it’s varying the intros in different videos within an ad set,  or open rates on a high-priority newsletter.

  • You love to innovate with how data is collected and used. You’re a flexible problem-solver who brings new technology options to the table without sacrificing data quality and reliability.

  • You enjoy interfacing with colleagues from diverse professional backgrounds and are excited to help create a culture of data-informed content decisions.

Don’t check off every box in the requirements listed above? Please apply anyway! Studies have shown that marginalized communities - such as women, LGBTQ+ and people of color - are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. PGP is dedicated to building a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible workplace that fosters a sense of belonging – so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to still consider submitting an application. You may be just the right candidate for this role or another one of our openings!

We pride ourselves on our full-time benefits including health insurance, 13 holidays, unlimited paid time off, two percent retirement match, maternity & family leave, and more.

This is a full-time, exempt, fully-remote position therefore candidates must have the ability to work from their own home office. Applicants must be eligible to work in either the United States or Canada.
