PGP (The Public Good Projects) is seeking a Newsletter Writer for Life Experienced, an events website for older adults. The writer will need to be available for edits on a 1-day turnaround, and this job will be renewed on a month-to-month basis through December 2021, with likelihood of expansion in 2022. 


Scope of Work:

  • Research and write a weekly lifestyle newsletter that celebrates older adults across the country and showcases examples of resilient, self-confident people over 65 who are living well.

  • Within each newsletter, highlight virtual events for this population. 

  • Edits need to be completed within 24 hours 


Experience:

  • Minimum two years reporting and writing experience 

  • Proven history of writing about or for older adults

  • Excellent writing, proofreading, and communication skills 

  • Ability to work on tight deadlines, independently, in a remote team environment

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred

  • Familiarity with AP Style and SEO best practices a plus 

 

Compensation: The project budget for staffing is approximately $2,000 per month ($500 per newsletter), through December 2021. 

 

Additional Details: Contractor must have availability to meet with PGP staff up to 4 times/week during EST business hours and deliver the newsletter for edits on a regular cadence each week (exact day TBD); otherwise, the schedule is flexible.
