THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION


PGP (The Public Good Projects) is seeking a full-time Web Developer who will report to the Director of Web. This position will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our web applications and tools. You must be comfortable working as part of a team, as well as taking initiative to lead new projects. This position will collaborate with various internal stakeholders in PGP’s other departments for support: Research (public health research), Insights & Analytics (market research), Account Services, Marketing, Editorial, and their own department, Web Services. 


The job of the Web Developer entails activities pertaining to, but not limited to:

  • Assist in the development of websites in our primary stacks of Laravel (PHP & VueJS) and NuxtJS

  • Assist with domain and web server management

  • Assist in setup and monitoring of website analytics

  • Assist in additional web-related technical solutions

  • Own various planning and development tasks involved in the web development life cycle from start to finish

 

Qualifications:

  • Interest and experience working with public health advocacy and social justice campaigns

  • 3+ years industry web development experience or comparable

  • 3+ years of experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Proficiency in at least one server-side technology (Java, PHP, NodeJS, Python, Ruby)

  • Excellent attention to detail and highly organized with ability to work on multiple projects and effectively prioritize projects

  • Experience collaborating across departments with the ability to work both independently & within a team

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, bilingual preferred (Spanish/English)

  • Experience managing multiple priorities and projects requiring a high degree of organizational and communication skills ability to work under pressure are essential

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment


PGP is a small organization, with approximately 40 staff, but it works on highly complex programs domestically and internationally.
