Job Overview:

The Medical Assistant reports to the Chief Medical Director/Clinical Director and is responsible for performing a range of administrative tasks in support to the Clinical Director. 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

•     Managing office telephone systems, including answering calls and returning messages

•     Documenting patients' medical information, including medical history

•     Performing data entry tasks to document patient records within facility databases and maintaining patient files

•     Coordinating daily office activities, greeting patients, and checking patients in and out for their appointments when needed

•      Assist Clinical Director with administrative tasks


Clinical Duties

Medical assistants will be responsible for performing a variety of clinical tasks, depending on the size and needs of the daily workflow. Some common clinical tasks to expect include:

•       Coordinate clinician scheduling with the assistance of front of the house

•       Conduct and organize the clients Before and After photography

•       Assist in content recording for social media through various platforms for clinicians

•       Prep and scribe client charting with the supervision of the clinician as needed

•       Ensure a high level of cleanliness is maintained within treatment rooms and aid in laundry management

•       Prepare products and equipment within treatment rooms for clinicians prior and during treatment

•       Draw up product accurately under the supervision of the Cosmetic Nurse Injectors

•       Perform blood drawing for PRP as needed

•       Ensure client consent forms and paperwork is accurate and completed in its entirety

•       Conduct follow up calls with clients

•       Execute client prep prior to treatment (such as applying topical numbing cream to service areas, cleansing/sanitizing treatment areas and removing topical numbing cream)

•       Escort clients to treatment rooms from front desk once check in has been completed

•       Assist with keeping medical equipment clean and ready for scheduled services

•       Participate in educational opportunities and training as scheduled by leadership


Education/Experience/Qualifications:

•       Previous experience with Electronic Medical Record Systems required

•       Strong Social Media acumen preferred

•       Previous experience of venipuncture preferred

•       Ability to communicate with a professional acumen 

•       Ability to multi-task while being attentive to clients and remaining flexible to the needs of the Vitalyc clinicians

•       Must be able to stand for long periods of time

•       Proficiency in administrative tasks

•       Basic understanding of clinical tasks

•       Must be able to reach above shoulder height, crawl, kneel and push/pull up 50 lbs

•       Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as required

•       Must possess a valid driver's license and personal vehicle for transportation.


Compensation:

•       Base salary: $16 - $18 per hour

Work Environment:

This position requires work in a fast-paced medical office environment. This position routinely uses standard office equipment. Exposure to chemicals, disinfectants, and latex. 

 

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Must be able to reach   above shoulder height, crawl, kneel and push/pull up 20lbs.
