The Data Manager is responsible for performing data entry and collation, data quality control (QC) and contributing to data analysis and interpretation, working in close coordination with Study Directors, Technical Writers and Project Leads. 

The Data Manager will support data handling from the time of generation through to report preparation. The Data Manager additionally contributes to internal research and development and the definition, maintenance and expansion of the research platform, including supporting efforts to maintain and expand facility Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The Data Manager also provides technical training on data entry methods and data management platforms.


Responsibilities:

The Data Manager is responsible for performing data collation, data entry, data QC and basic and more advanced data analysis and interpretation in a time - dependent, deadline - driven environment. The following specific activities are the responsibility of the Data Manager to ensure performance effectiveness and enable the company to reach all operational and growth objectives:

1.     Fulfill the following operational responsibilities, as well as others identified and agreed upon through direct communication with Senior Management, including:

a.     Perform data entry, data QC and data analysis and continue to interpretation of findings.

b.     Keep detailed records of all data handling and analysis activities.

c.     Maintain and develop proficiency with hardware and software platforms that facilitate data management, image processing and statistical analysis.

d.     Contribute to the assembly of data for study interim and final reports as directed by Study Directors.

e.     Develop and provide training to research staff members on data entry templates and techniques prioritized by Senior Management.

f.      Ensure data handling procedures are compliant with company SOPs, as well as FDA and EMA guidelines on preclinical research and remain aligned with any regulatory changes.

2.     Fulfill the following career and company development responsibilities, as well as others identified and agreed upon their direct communication with Senior Management, including:

a. Support the publication of data generated in company studies.

b. Attend meetings, conferences that advance Virscio objectives or professional development, as approved by Senior Management

c. Contribute to team training, where applicable.


Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or greater
  • Strong Excel Skills required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an eye for detail.
  • A work ethic focused on achieving the highest quality of work.
