- Develop and mentor Solution Consultants to ensure that customers are blown away by the quality of our account team
- Improve the scalability & efficiency of our technical team while ensuring successful delivery of POCs and guided technical validation efforts.
- Communicate actively with customers and internally within your team, handling risks and issues, escalating upwards as needed
- Solve tricky integration and product questions/issues and coordinate resolutions, including technical troubleshooting of customer issues
- Identify revenue prospects and opportunities and partner with Sales, Customer Success, Product and Engineering to align customer's vision with our current solutions/ roadmap
- Provide thought leadership
- Be intrinsically curious and passionate about researching current and emerging technologies and developing innovative solutions
- Ensure the methodology and engagement model is adhered to and that the resources are appropriately supported in their approach
- Assist in the development and execution of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives
- Support Solutions Consultants and sales reps on all sales activities including needs analysis, data review, product demonstrations and other general sales support as a player/coach.
- Be a hands-on, lead from the front leader, participate in strategic deals and backup team members as needed to triple the business
- Be integral to closing business with accounts of all sizes, and develop relationships with key customers
Requirements
- 5+ years managing a high-performing PreSales Solution Consulting team (remote/field resources), including both transactional sales and strategic selling
- 5+ years as a PreSales Solution Consultant with a demonstrated track record of success.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/computer science or equivalent experience, Advanced degree a plus
- Proven ability to hire, develop and allocate resources, promote career development and advancement, and perform employee reviews and evaluations
- Communicate the voice of the customer to R&D leadership, driving product development prioritization and roadmap – Liaison on specific technical projects to customers
- Provide guidance to revenue leaders on sales strategy, product obstacles/gaps, as well as represent the team’s needs to executive staff
- Experience and understanding of multiple technical domains - data, integration, big data, cloud infrastructure, analytics, security, governance,
- Communicate and over-communicate
- Experienced leader in the technology/infrastructure space with progressive technical leadership responsibilities and expertise working with cross-functional teams to create and drive the business strategy and execution
- Coaching
- Work with team to develop customer-facing collateral (e.g., presentations, demos, proposals, solution designs).
- Develop team technical selling skills thru positive constructive feedback.
- Develop internal knowledge base to enable team members to access key information, such as use cases, solution designs, POCs, assets, training, etc.
- Excellent prioritization, organizational and project management skills
- Collaboratively and objectively assesses benefits, costs, and viability of proposed solution options develop creative solutions and drive alignment
- Ability to leverage business knowledge, sound judgment, and resourcefulness to determine an appropriate course of action in challenging, ambiguous situations.
