About the Experiences & Events Internship Position
Gravity Haus seeks a creative, operationally-oriented intern who is highly organized, eager to support, and ambitious to contribute to the organization’s Experiences & Events departments. This individual will assist in the execution of logistics and administrative support that power the company’s summer events and experiences.
Responsibilities
Event Programming & Operations
Assist the Gravity Haus Events and Experiences teams in the creation, execution and hosting of of the Summer 2023 programming calendar
Provide tactical support for events, including but not limited to shipping and handling, attendee profile compilation, etc.
Secure equipment and rentals as needed, set-up, tear-down, etc.
Event Marketing
Manage Event Marketing for all member and prospective member events, including but not limited to creation & management of registration landing pages and pre & post-event communications with members
Oversee execution of monthly event newsletters, working with GH Marketing team
Monitor events content on the GH website and GH social media sites to ensure they are updated and events are well attended, working with GH Marketing team on execution
Required Skills
Must be able to routinely travel to Haus locations, Denver office, and event locations.
Able to work as many hours as the business demands and be willing to maintain a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment and still meet deadlines
Dynamic self-starter who takes initiative, highly reliable
Strong verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and follow- up skills
Proactive problem prevention and issue resolution leadership ability
Polished and professional when dealing with members, prospective members, sponsors, and executive management
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Adapt to changes in the work environment; manages competing demands; changes approach or method to best fit the situation; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events; appreciates opportunity to adjust and adapt with growing business.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, or pursuit of Bachelor’s degree, in a hospitality, wellness or recreation fields
Proficient with Google Drive and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with Canva, Slack and/or Hubspot is a plus.
Passion and knowledge of the outdoor industry and background in executing culinary, recreation and wellness-based events.
