Solais Lighting Group is continually looking to add talented members to its team. We are looking to add to our Quotations Department with a full-time employee that can make an impact from the first day. The right candidate will be an energetic, motivated and hungry team player with fresh ideas while maintaining strong organizational skills. This candidate is looking for a career and a desire to grow within the company. This position will work with the Chief Financial Officer and Quotations team to produce both internal and external documentation to continuously drive the success of the team.
Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
• Manage and supervise quotations team on the following:
o Prepare complete comprehensive quotes for our Sales Team and Distributors (both Local and National) in a timely manner
o Establish, update, and maintain pricing for our Lighting Rep Agencies, preparing quotations when required
o Work closely with our Sales Team, Lighting Rep Agencies, Distributors, Customers, and Specifiers to gather information to prepare a quote
o Work within and update established guidelines to assure all quotes are profitable
o Record, maintain, and update all current quotations
o Record, report, and communicate External Commissions to finance and Lighting Rep agencies
o Maintain and update pricing within quotations and ERP system
• Effectively communicate relevant project information to customers, co-workers and management related to quotations
• Maintain proficient knowledge of Solais Lighting product offerings - past, present, and future
• Work closely with sales and customer service team, customers and lighting sales representatives to offer alternatives when first choice products are not available to meet project deadlines
• Establish and update rep agreements as necessary, answer question regarding agreements and work with Sales Team members to sign up new agencies
• Work closely with Product Manager to determine target pricing for on upcoming fixtures
Requirements:
• High School diploma with a minimum of 5 years of Lighting Agency experience, such as customer service, sales, project, or combination of experience and training in one or more areas.
• Broad knowledge of lighting products and pricing
• Must be within driving distance and willing to commute daily to office in Frisco, Texas
• Have the desire to learn about LED lighting, the industry and marketplace
• Familiarization with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, etc.
• Strong interpersonal skills, superior time management skills and attention to detail
• Self-starter with a strong desire to take ownership of the position and a desire to grow and develop as a professional
• Excellent phone, customer service and written/oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and problem solve with minimal supervision
• Ability to calculate figures, such as discounts and percentages
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and possesses strong attention to details and organizational skills
• Must be able to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
• 4 year Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
