JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician is part of the WindHQ Data Center team and is responsible to maintain the interior and exterior of the data center facilities, including preventative maintenance, general and emergency maintenance as well as repairs and custodial duties.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform maintenance and minor repairs for all buildings and equipment
· Perform custodial duties as requested which may include, but not be limited to, snow removal, clean, sweep and mop, wash windows, interior walls and ceilings, empty trash cans and other waste containers, clean and disinfect washrooms and fixtures
· Perform routine landscaping on the grounds (leveling of gravel, grass removal, other debris, etc.)
· Paint and fill gaps or crevices, including repair leaking roofs
· Undertake light installation, carpentry, and welding
· Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs
· Identify and report the need for major repairs
· Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures
· Respond to emergency maintenance requests
· May be required to move furniture, equipment, and supplies
· Perform air filters frame removal, installation, removal and installation of air filters, air filters washing with pressure washer
· Follow site established housekeeping rules, both internal and external
· Refuse all unsafe work and immediately report all unsafe conditions and behaviors to their supervisor
· Report incidents, injuries and near misses and participate in the investigative process
· Assist other teammates when required
· Attend and participate in toolbox and safety committee meetings as scheduled
· Complete all other duties as assigned by supervisor
· Adhere to company safety standards and help promote a safe working environment for office and field employees, subcontractors, and clients

Basic Qualifications
· Knowledgeable in areas such as, but not limited to plumbing, HVAC, electrical, welding, painting and carpentry
· Proven ability to adapt to a variety of environmental factors and extreme weather conditions while performing operational requirements
· Strong basic math and measurement skills
· Energetic and self-directed, with effective time management and organizational skills including the ability to deal with several priorities at the same time
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
· Understand and follow verbal and written directions
· Strong work ethic with demonstrated dedication and reliability
· Must be able to work as a member of a greater team
· Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management, contractors and employees
· Any additional safety tickets such as Standard First Aid & CPR will be considered an asset
· Bobcat/skid steer experience and certification an asset
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
· Minimum 2 years’ experience related to maintenance work
· At least High School Diploma or GED (General Education Development or General Education Diploma) preferred, University, College or similar is a benefit
· This role is considered a Safety Sensitive Position and may require additional screening
· Proof of vaccination (in full) against COVID-19
· Must have a means of transportation as most locations are not accessible with public transportation
· Flexibility to work a variety of shifts (shiftwork, nightshift, weekends, and holidays) required
· Monday to Friday 8hrs shifts, additional overtime hours may be required and offered
· Ability to lift and move heavy materials up to 40lbs/20Kgs
· Comfort with continuous operation of containers at a noise level of 100 dBa
· Adherence to local legislation/standards and WindHQ standards for approved safety boots, gloves and other PPE (provided at some locations fully or partly)
