Job Description:
Responsible for GL Maintenance in NetSuite and reviewing staff bookkeeping work
Help to coordinate period close activities, including preparing schedules and journal entries, calculating accruals, and performing various account reconciliations and budget variance analyses
Research technical accounting issues for compliance and provide recommendations to the team
Prepare detailed reports that summarize company business, finance, & treasury activity and financial position for internal and external stakeholders as required
Maintain complex balance sheet reconciliations and review those prepared by staff
Assist with preparation of annual audit schedules. Interact with outside auditors to support the year-end audit process
Identify and drive process improvement and automation initiatives around finance systems
Perform ad hoc projects as necessary
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience - diverse experience, not focused solely on one process
A high degree of comfort with technology
Advanced Excel skills
Netsuite experience strongly preferred
Experience with Netsuite, Floqast, Tableau or similar applications preferred
Able to work remotely without direct supervision when needed
Growth stage business experience preferred
Must be able to work from the Austin area beginning in 2021 (relocation package is not offered for this role)
