The Director of Investments is a visible, client-facing leader at BEW. This person stewards our portfolio and investment philosophy and tells the story of investing in a calm, relatable, and empowering voice.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • External Communication
    • Serve as BEW’s primary communicator on markets, investments, and economic context to clients and prospects.
    • Lead creation and delivery of approachable educational content (blogs, newsletters, webinars, videos, and presentations).
    • Provide proactive communication during volatile markets to reassure and guide clients.
  • Internal Communication
    • Partner with BEW advisors to ensure confidence in discussing portfolio positioning, performance, and market conditions in client meetings.
    • Provide tools, talking points, and messaging to simplify complex investment ideas.
    • Lead internal education sessions to strengthen BEW’s internal investment expertise and alignment.
  • Portfolio Management & Investment Oversight
    • Oversee BEW’s investment strategy, including asset allocation, manager selection, fund lineup oversight, and portfolio construction.
    • Monitor investments for performance, cost, risk, and philosophical alignment
    • Research and conduct ongoing due diligence on potential strategies
    • Lead BEW’s Investment Committee meetings – set agenda, drive discussion, prepare materials, and maintain compliance documentation.
  • Special Projects and Strategic Engagements
    • Join prospect conversations as the investment subject-matter expert and support strategic growth opportunities.
    • Support key client relationships
    • Lead or contribute to firm initiatives that enhance investment strategy, client experience, and BEW’s capabilities.

 EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION 

  • Bachelor's degree required; CFA Preferred
  • 7+ years of professional investment experience including asset allocation and portfolio construction
  • Proven success communicating investment strategy to non-technical audiences
  • Experience with Excel and portfolio analytics/reporting tools (e.g., Tamarac) preferred

  COMPENSATION 

  • $150,000 to $250,000
