Licensing Specialist – CONTRACT (3 months)

JOB SUMMARY:

CreditNinja is seeking a detail-oriented independent contractor who will focus primarily on supporting the company’s license management program. This position is fully remote, with preference given to Chicago-area individuals. NOTE: This is a project-based INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR role. The project is estimated to be THREE (3) MONTHS, but may be extended.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with processing new license applications, renewals, and related annual reporting under attorney supervision
  • Ownership of matters relating to corporate formalities, including the preparation of new state qualification and trade name registration applications; timely filing of annual reports and other ad hoc requirements
  • Collaborate closely with the company’s in-house attorneys, state agencies, and other third-parties to ensure that matters are completed and resolved in a timely manner
  • Other administrative support in the Legal Department, as needed

 

MUST-HAVES:

  • At least 2-3 years of related experience and/or training
  • Available to dedicate between approx. 20-30 hours per week to the job (as-needed)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and cloud-based software generally
  • Logical thinker and attentive to detail; keen sense of personal responsibility; utmost confidentiality when handling sensitive data and information (contractor will sign NDA)
  • Professional and effective communication style both internally and when corresponding with state agencies and third-parties

 

NICE-TO-HAVES:

  • Familiarity with NMLS online system and filings
  • Prior licensing experience supporting a corporate legal department or law firm
