JOB SUMMARY:

CreditNinja is seeking a Manager of Compliance Monitoring & Testing who will report to the Head of Compliance. This position will be based at CreditNinja headquarters in Chicago, IL, or can be located in our Miami, FL office, or remote work may also be considered. This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join a well-capitalizedp on the ground floor and help drive our success. As the Manager Compliance Monitoring & Testing you will oversee the company’s Compliance Testing Program across all Ninja product lines. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing testing protocols, including both manual, and technology driven exception testing. You will develop a deep understanding of CreditNinja’s systems so as to design testing programs specific to our operations. This person will also be responsible for designing robust, data driven reporting to senior management to identify compliance issues. This position will have one direct report at the outset with the potential to develop more team resources, if necessary. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with cross functional teams including Compliance, Product Management, Engineering, Finance and Operations to design a robust reporting and testing system

  • Utilize technology to design exception testing to ensure compliant loans and financial transactions across all product areas. 

  • Oversee and management one internal data analyst resource and a Monitoring & Testing team.

  • Take ownership of existing monitoring and testing programs and automated compliance check libraries and continue to develop and enhance these programs. 

  • Design UAT testing protocols prior to technology release to ensure adherence to Compliance requirements. 

  • Attend Change Management meetings and identify change tickets requiring compliance involvement.

  • Maintain regular reporting to business partners as needed on status of monitoring and testing and any identified compliance issues. 

  • Write compliance requirements for product changes and new product development. 

  • Work with QA team to ensure adequate compliance testing


    EXPERIENCE:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in compliance management systems, specifically compliance testing functions within financial services.

  • Expertise of Compliance laws rules and regulations and risks, focused on consumer lending, debit card processing, NACHA rules and regulations. 

  • Demonstrate extensive abilities as a team leader, which includes creating a positive environment, monitoring workloads of the team, respecting the work-life quality of team members, providing candid and meaningful feedback in a timely manner, and keeping leadership informed of progress

  • Experience in planning, executing, and reporting on compliance testing reviews and regulatory issue validation activities

  • Strong project management and organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment. Ability to analyze and quickly understand processes in order to appropriately determine whether objectives and goals have been met

  • Ability to multi-task effortlessly and manage competing priorities under demanding deadlines

  • Drive to provide accurate results as quickly as possible and continuously iterate
