JOB SUMMARY:

NinjaHoldings is looking for an analytics leader to join our Risk & Analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing risk strategies and policies for our current lending products as well as the new products, leading data driven initiatives to optimize portfolio performance, and building and developing a team of highly skilled analytics professionals. You’ll work closely with the rest of the analytics teams (data science, data engineering, data insights) and will interact with business stakeholders across many departments (product management, marketing, finance, etc.) to support short term and long term company goals.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide thought leadership & strategic thinking to translate business problems into analytical framework(s) and recommend actions and provide business insights
  • Develop credit policies from the ground up for new lending products and continuously iterate to improve approval criteria and credit limit assignment strategies
  • Determine underwriting criteria using new credit risk models in partnership with our data science team
  • Drive company-wide fraud risk strategy and build tools and systems (in partnership with other teams) to minimize the risk
  • Set procedures for the team to monitor the risk performance of all of our credit products and proactively optimize for profitability
  • Work with external vendors to prioritize and manage product evaluation and data studies
  • Manage a team of risk analysts and drive team growth through hiring, training, coaching, documentation, knowledge sharing, etc.
  • Implement team-wide standards and procedures for mature credit and fraud risk management practices, with a focus on quality and scalability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to explore new ways of finding insights from data and to ensure alignment on priorities
  • Regularly work with senior leadership (C-Suite) team members to manage expectations around delivery and present solutions


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (required) or advanced degree (preferred) in a quantitative field (mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, etc.)
  • 6-8 + years of experience in Data Science, Credit Risk, Fraud Risk, Marketing Analytics, Operations Analytics, Modeling or related field
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented leader with 3-5+ years of experience in leading a team of analytics professionals
  • Proven analytical work experience in Financial Services, preferably at a FinTech company, building and managing risk strategies for various credit products (loans, lines of credit, credit cards, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills with an ability to make data-based decisions
  • Advanced SQL programming skills and experience in Python
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with multiple stakeholders and senior leadership (C-suite) across the organization
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
