JOB SUMMARY:

CreditNinja is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant of Financial Reporting who will report directly to the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting focusing on supporting the financial reporting and close processes. This position will focus on financial reporting but may also participate in the monthly close process. This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join a well-capitalized startup on the ground floor and help drive our success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, disclosures, checklists and necessary support for external reports
  • Prepare monthly internal reporting packages and state compliance reports
  • Assess and assist in implementation of new accounting standards.
  • Coordinate and interact with internal teams, including senior management
  • Preparation and review of documentation for external auditors
  • Prepare and/or assist with other ad-hoc research or projects
  • Help maintain accounting systems and implement new systems
  • Contribute to business results by working cross-functionally with teams
  • Work as a liaison to external auditors

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in public accounting or relevant industry experience
  • Strong attention to detail and proficient problem solving skills
  • XBRL experience and Advanced Excel skills a plus
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills
  • Experience working with start ups, specialty finance or FinTech a plus
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis
