The Lead Mobile App Developer will be the technical leader for a mobile app development team. This person will build our first mobile app for Android and iPhone using React Native. The Lead will work closely with Product, Marketing, and fellow backend Leads.

This person has previously led small teams for app developers in close collaboration with web developers and backend developers. This person understands the gotchas of Android and iPhone development and is able to deliver an MVP and then evolve into a mature mobile application.

* You'll work closely with the VP of Engineering on the technical vision of the mobile app as well as the platform.

* You'll provide technical leadership to a small mobile app team

* You'll be responsible for the technical plan for our planned Android and iPhone apps

* You'll coordinate with web and backend teams to ensure a consistent user experience

*  5+ years of professional experience as a mobile app developer for non-trivial mobile apps

*  2+ years as a lead app developer

*  Strong communication ability to describe complex problems and solutions

*  Experience in React Native

* Experience in UI/UX of mobile applications

* Strong experience on web frontend development

* Experience building fintech mobile applications

* Ruby on Rails

* Python Flask app

* Postgres, Redis, Redshift

* Vanilla JS

* All on AWS using Lambdas, EC2, ECS
