Founded in late 2017 by industry and start-up veterans, CreditNinja has been writing installment loans for consumers with less than perfect credit scores since April 2018. Since then CreditNinja has expanded to 10+ US states and currently offers 4 different product types that have been issued for a total of $94M. CreditNinja is well funded and set up to grow fast profitably. CreditNinja has a small, very agile team that is data and results driven.
Production Support Engineer
Production Support is part of the Operations department. The team works closely with the teams in Engineering. The team essentially comprised of two roles. Most members are Tier 3 support focused on receiving Operations tickets. They investigate problems and try to restore service typically on a customer account basis. They do not interact directly with customers.
The second role is developer. They may be called in for tier 4 support, but are strategically focused on automating Product Support and Operations work.
The entire Product Support team works daily with the Engineering teams. It’s important to have a tight integration between Engineering and Operations.
Investigating potential bugs in the platform reported by Operations (i.e. Call Center and Biz Ops).
Repairing damage caused by issues in the platform or its external vendors.
Advising Operations on technical matters and automating tasks specific to their needs.
Developing features for Dradis the internal Call Center web application that gives us the ability to manage customer accounts.
This person will investigate deep technical issues working alongside engineering. Also, this person will focus on automation of Product Support tasks. It’s a strategic goal to be efficient and have high productivity with a small team size. This person will also work in the production platform code from time to time.
The right candidate meets the following:
5+ years of professional experience. If not, they should be ready to prove that it doesn’t matter
Experience building, maintaining, operating, or debugging three tier web applications.
Experience writing SQL
Fluent in Linux based command line environments
A talent for debugging and solving problems with practical solutions.
Strong ability to assess, communicate and correct complex problems at a fast pace
Strong communication to describe complex issues.
Experience building Rails applications is a plus
Experience as tier 3 production support is a plus
