CreditNinja is a FinTech company created by veteran serial entrepreneurs who were the core team behind Enova (NYSE:ENVA), focused on providing unsecured credit to the subprime segment of the $100+ billion personal loan market. Since then CreditNinja has expanded to 30 US states and currently offers 4 different product types. CreditNinja has a small, very agile team that is data and results driven.
Production Support is part of the Operations department. The team works closely with the teams in Engineering, and essentially comprises two roles. Most members are Tier 3 support focused on resolving Operations tickets. They investigate problems and try to restore service, typically on a customer account basis. They do not interact directly with customers. The second role is developer. They may be called in for Tier 4 support, but are strategically focused on automating Production Support and Operations work.
The entire Production Support team works daily with the Engineering teams. It’s important to maintain tight integration between Engineering and Operations.
Developing features for our internal Call Center web application used to manage our customer accounts
Advising Operations on technical matters and automating tasks specific to their needs
Investigating potential bugs in the platform reported by Operations (i.e. Call Center and Biz Ops)
Repairing damage caused by issues in the platform or its external vendors
This person will focus primarily on developing features for our internal Call Center tools along with the automation of Production Support tasks wherever possible. This person will also investigate deep technical issues working alongside Engineering, and will work in the production platform code from time to time as well.
The right candidate meets the following:
3+ years of professional experience. If not, they should be ready to prove that it doesn’t matter
Experience building, maintaining, operating, and debugging three tier web applications.
Experience writing SQL
Fluent in Linux based command line environments
A talent for debugging and solving problems with practical solutions
Strong ability to assess, communicate and correct complex problems at a fast pace
Strong communication skills
Experience building Ruby on Rails applications is a plus
Experience as tier 3 production support is a plus
