DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a DevOps engineer to join our engineering team. This person will work closely with the developer team. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for assisting with various internal systems while collaborating with other developers as well as several programming projects.

What You’ll Work On:

  • Analyze current technology in several different areas of the company  and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them

    • Areas this person may work in: IT security, AWS infrastructure, CI/CD tooling, System Administration, Monitoring/Alerting systems, etc.

  • Find creative solutions to internal development problems using all technologies at your disposal

  • Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions 

  • Performs incremental testing actions on code, processes and deployments to identify ways to streamline execution and minimize errors encountered.


What We Are Looking For:

  • 2+ years of professional experience as a Developer, System Admin, or DevOps

  • Experience working directly with the Developer team

  • Strong communication ability to describe complex problems and solutions

  • Extensive experience in programming

  • Experience using linux based systems and using a shell based interface

 

Additional Plus, but not requirements: 

 

  • Experience setting up a traditional 3 tier web platform on AWS

  • Extensive programming experience

  • Supporting, maintaining, or building Ruby on Rails applications

  • Supporting, maintaining, or building Python Flask applications

  • Extensive system or network security experience

  • Extensive monitoring, alerting, and performance experience
