TFN Human Resources Coordinator 

The Texas Freedom Network (TFN) seeks a full-time Human Resources Coordinator based in Austin, Texas. TFN is a statewide non-partisan, grassroots organization that is building an informed and effective movement working toward equality and social justice.

The HR Coordinator will play an integral role in assisting with the employee experience at TFN, including but not limited to, supporting the full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes, maintaining HR policies and compliance, and working alongside HR and admin team members to coordinate and execute daily tasks, and projects and initiatives that support a healthy workplace culture at TFN. The HR Coordinator will serve as an example to employees and stakeholders and embody the values that undergird TFNs mission. The HR Coordinator will report directly to the HR Director.

Areas of Responsibility: 

  • Provide logistical support by scheduling and coordinating efforts related to recruiting, onboarding, offboarding,and other HR initiatives

  • Manage HR programmatic event calendar (Benefits webinars, Culture Circles, DEI workshops, etc.) 

  • Work with admin team members to setup interviews for open positions, posting job descriptions in TriNet and various job boards

  • With the utmost integrity and confidentiality, work with HR Director to maintain human resource files, records, and documentation

  • Working directly with HR Director, help to perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately

  • Support employees by answering questions related to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes

  • Assist in creating and launching employee surveys, analyzing the results and informing actions that help improve our culture

  • Be a contributing member of the team for brainstorming, organization projects & activities, etc

  • Work closely with the Finance and Operations team on tasks related to onboarding and offboarding. 

  • Work closely with the admin team to plan and execute team convenings/retreats 

  • Support the tracking of key metrics for HR and diversity initiatives

  • Work closely with HR Director and staff to identify professional development needs and opportunities to strengthen staff capacity to achieve individual and organizational goals

  • Working closely with P&C team members, help to identify a  broad range of training opportunities for different types of roles at TFN

  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • At least one year of professional administrative experience

  • A basic comfort with technology and willingness for additional training

  • Must be detail-oriented and possess very strong organizational skills

  • Proficiency with Google suite, QuickBooks Time a plus

  • Ability to work well with a team, take direction and feedback, and share skills and knowledge 

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision; be self-motivated 

 

Benefits

Salary: $50,000 - $55,000

100% employer paid medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) savings plan with employer contribution, paid vacation, personal, sick, and parental leave.
