The Texas Freedom Network (TFN) seeks a part-time Digital Content Creator based in Austin, Texas. TFN is a statewide non-partisan, grassroots organization that is building an informed and effective movement working toward equality and social justice.
The Digital Content Creator will oversee content creation for the organization and its projects. The primary responsibilities of the Digital Content Creator will be to develop, coordinate, and manage creative content for our organization.. The Digital Content Creator should be a quick learner, highly organized, digital savvy, and have excellent communication skills. The Digital Content Creator will report to the Senior Digital Strategist.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Primarily responsible for producing video content across social media platforms.
Being a recognizable figure in Texas Rising video content.
Support in planning digital campaigns for program initiatives, including writing, developing, editing, recording, and publishing content.
Provide content support and training to Texas Rising Digital Leads across the state.
Attend events and provide in-person coverage support when necessary (examples include Texas Lege, Camp Texas Rising.)
Maintain video content across platforms.
Qualifications and Skills
Requirements:
Ability to turn a concept into compelling content
Experience being in-video talent for short-form video content
Experience creating short-form video content for TikTok and/or Instagram Reels
Knowledge of content trends across social media platforms
Knowledge of progressive/youth organizing in Texas
Analytical mind with a problem-solving approach
Experience with gen-z audiences in some capacity
Preferred, but not required:
Experience managing social media channels
Background in progressive/youth organizing
Graphic Design experience a plus
Pay & Benefits
$21 per hour
Paid sick time
$90 monthly wifi/phone stipend
