Texas Freedom Network (TFN) is seeking a motivated Data and Technology Coordinator to take on a key role in our team and help us in our organizational mission. TFN is a statewide non-partisan, grassroots organization that is building an informed and effective movement working towards equality and social justice.
The Data and Technology Coordinator role is a mix of technical support and data wrangling. The primary job responsibilities are to provide technical administrative support and training for staff and volunteers and oversee and help maintain TFN’s data infrastructure.
The Data and Technology Coordinator will work closely with staff across the organization to ensure they have the data and technical support they need to execute successful programs and campaigns.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide technical administrative support and training for staff and volunteers for various political advocacy tools including EveryAction/VAN (including OpenVPB), Hustle, Mobilize, ThruTalk, and Strive.
Set up and manage SMS and phonebank outreach efforts, including uploading data and scripts and providing technical support for staff and volunteers.
Work with various departments to identify and create contact universes across digital and outreach platforms.
Compile metrics, generate reports, and visual dashboards.
Monitor and debug data pipelines between databases, tools, and dashboards
Perform regularly scheduled data maintenance and quality control tasks
Serve as a part of the larger digital engagement team, supporting digital advocacy/advertising/voter engagement projects.

Strong attention to detail

Enthusiastic about data and technology
Problem solver who can troubleshoot issues independently
1 year in a position managing data (or equivalent training program/certification)
Experience with Texas voter registration, voter contact programs, and campaign data
Experience with civic engagement organizing, labor or community organizing, or work on political campaigns
Data visualization, specifically Periscope or Google Data Studio
Knowledge of advocacy tools including EveryAction/VAN (including OpenVPB), Hustle, Mobilize, ThruTalk, and Strive.
Applicants must be located in Texas. Austin preferred, but not required.
Salary range: $48,000 - $52,000 (depending on experience)
