We are looking for a Database Administrator to maintain and improve the company database systems. This position will work closely with development, systems engineering and the data analytics teams. Must have strong communication skills with a desire to work in a team atmosphere.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Database administration including installation, configuration, security, troubleshoot/fix problems, backup/restore process, data recovery
• Automating administrative tasks
• Database capacity forecasting and planning
• Database performance tuning and optimization
• Working with development to design and optimize the application database support, including query tuning and optimization
• Database monitoring, availability for on-call support

Qualifications:

• Good experience managing MySQL databases
• Good experience with Linux systems and scripting
• Experience with database design
• Experience with query optimization
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication skills

Optional/Highly Desired

• Experience with NoSQL systems (MongoDB, Redis)
• Experience with MSSQL and Windows systems
• Knowledge of version-control systems
• Experience working with cross-functional US based teams
