Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Paralegal Manager to oversee and manage a team of paralegals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal services, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to streamline processes for efficiency and quality. As the Paralegal Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the paralegal team, ensuring compliance with legal and procedural requirements, and providing support to attorneys and other legal staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage and supervise a team of paralegals, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Work Allocation: Assign tasks to paralegals based on workload, complexity, and priority, ensuring timely completion of all legal projects and cases.
  • Process Improvement: Review and improve workflow processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy in legal research, document preparation, and case management.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work produced by the paralegal team, ensuring all legal documents meet legal standards and firm policies.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with attorneys and other legal professionals to support case preparation, litigation, and other legal matters.
  • Training & Development: Oversee the onboarding and ongoing training of paralegal staff, keeping them up-to-date on legal procedures, software tools, and best practices.
  • Legal Research & Documentation: Assist with legal research, document drafting, and preparing case files for trial, hearings, or client meetings.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant legal regulations, ethical guidelines, and firm policies in the management of legal documentation and processes.
  • Reporting & Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance evaluations of the paralegal team, providing constructive feedback and implementing performance improvement plans when necessary.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of departmental budgets related to paralegal activities and resources.
  • Client Interaction: Maintain positive relationships with clients by ensuring that paralegal support is aligned with client needs and expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a paralegal, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and documentation requirements across various practice areas
