UX Designer
As a UX Designer for VECKTA, you will help development teams and business stakeholders throughout the user-centered design process to deliver intuitive and playful digital experiences for our users.
As an integral member of an Agile team, you are expected to cultivate, grow and maintain core principles including continuous improvement, self organization, and adaptive planning using agile methodologies. You will have a team-oriented mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and possess an aptitude for team communication and collaboration.
Day to Day Operations
Work with cross-functional product teams to create a best-in-class web experience for our customers
Create design artifacts such as personas, customer journey maps, storyboards, wireframes, rapid prototypes and UI specifications to guide the team through the design and implementation of software projects
Help organize and conduct user research/usability testing
Assist in contributing to the development of internal user interface design standards
Follow existing style/brand guidelines on fonts, colors, and images, with the capacity to suggest alternatives
Required Qualifications
BS Degree in UX design or similar field
2+ years of experience in UX Design for progressive web apps (includes internships)
Proficiency with UI design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, Adobe XD, InVision Studio, etc.)
An online portfolio with examples of responsive web design work
Good time-management and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with designers, engineers and executives
Desired Qualifications
Understanding of UX design for mobile systems, including iOS and Android
Knowledge of accessibility and ADA guidelines/compliance as it relates to websites
Knowledge of the Energy Transition space, including Distributed Energy Resources such as Solar, Wind, etc.
A technical understanding of HTML and CSS
