As a Project Manager for VECKTA, you will own responsibility for driving fast-paced development and implementation projects using the Agile Framework. You will be charged with representing and executing the product vision and road-map to stakeholders. We are seeking a collaborative team member who has proven leadership skills, the ability to think critically and problem solve, and a track record of ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Embrace the product vision and gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that improve and exceed customer expectations.
  
• Translate product strategy into ideas and challenges to convey to the engineering team and collaborate with them to detail requirements and prototypes.
  
• Leverage technical knowledge (yours and the teams) to produce high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria.
  
• Scope, prioritize, and deliver stories based on business requirements.
  
• Drive product launches including working with business stakeholders, executives, and other product management team members.
  
• Responsible for facilitating the daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings.
  
• Help team members clarify goals and correctly apply execution strategies.
  
• Ensure milestones are reached and deadlines are met throughout the product life-cycle.
  
• Prioritize and manage the team backlog based on value.
  
• Communicate and manage expectations on product progress to all stakeholders.
  
• Understand relevant trends within the energy sector and apply them to continuously enhance the product.
  
• Act as product evangelist to build awareness and understanding of the product.
  
• Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve the current system, discover issues and deliver better value.
  

Requirements

• Previous work experience in project management.
  
• Track record of delivering results managing all aspects of a product through its lifecycle.
  
• Excellent communication and negotiations skills
  
• Ability to communicate tradeoffs between the business, UX, and engineering.
  
• Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams.
  
• Well versed in writing business requirements.
  
• Ability to create wireframes and process flows to convey ideas.
  
• Willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
  
• Knowledge about the energy industry (preferred).
  
• Ability to manage multi-tasks simultaneously.
  
• Demonstrate a keen sense of ability to listen and ask probing questions to obtain data needed for request.
