Job Title: Delivery Team Manager


Job Summary:


The Delivery Team Manager will join a growing New York based Salesforce Premium Consulting Partner that thrives on bringing success to our clients. 


The Delivery Team Manager is a business partner to our clients and leads a team of Arkus Consultants. The Delivery Team Manager manages and supports Arkus Implementation Consultants, Engagement Managers, and Associate Consultants to ensure clients success.  The Delivery Team Manager is responsible for overseeing their direct reports through hands-on training, technical support, and continuous coaching. The Delivery Team Manager also supports their direct reports by guiding them on their professional growth and development. 


Primary Duties:


Estimates on time break down

  • 50% - Team Management 

  • 40% - Engagement Management 

  • 10% - Project Management


Team Management and Leadership:

  • Monitor the capacity and performance of a team of direct reports including Consultants and Engagement Managers.

  • Partner with Sales and Allocation to help oversee team member capacity. 

  • Establish and monitor direct reports’ yearly One Arkus and Personal Goals. 

  • Provide in-depth coaching to direct reports, recognizing their strengths and encouraging them to take ownership of their personal development.

  • Perform regular project reviews. Hold periodic standups with direct reports to stay up to date on projects. 

  • Perform regular quality checks to make sure the team's projects are being managed according to Arkus standards. Address work that does not meet expectations.

  • Perform regular check-ins with other Delivery Team Managers and Engagement Managers on their team’s performance.

  • Co-manage projects with new or inexperienced team members to upskill and mentor. 

  • Collaborate with direct reports on existing methods and procedures to create possible alternative solutions to moderately and highly complex problems.

  • Act to resolve issues that prevent the team working or communicating effectively.

  • Participate in leadership conversations to provide insights on Cloud Technology trends and how they impact clients.

  • Participate in leadership conversations to provide insights on team member development,  and how to support their continued career development. 

  • Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties.

  • Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making.

  • Simplify complex communication, highlighting and summarizing key points.

  • Other duties as assigned or required.


Project and Engagement Management:

  • Oversee and manage project delivery to execute the full system development lifecycle. Support and oversee multiple projects led by Arkus consultants.

  • Follow best practices and standards to include software development practices, design and software deployment and coach/mentor the team on these standards.

  • Participate in the project scoping process to support project and engagement managers in building effective statements of work. Periodically lead scoping exercises.

  • Work with clients to gather key requirements, configure solutions with Salesforce products, as needed to complete project goals, plan and execute data migrations from legacy data systems to Salesforce, and investigate and implement third party tools that integrate with Salesforce.

  • Partner with the internal development team to create custom code, including composing of user stories, testing, and deployment.

  • Support client success through quality control on the project deliverables and help bring the full expertise of the Arkus team to the project. Act as a backup to consultants and engagement managers, helping coordinate, plan and execute as needed.

  • Design and provide training for clients at various levels, including administrator and end users based on project implementation goals. 

  • Follow and enforce Arkus organizational standards for all communication and documentation.

  • Maintain relationships with client project teams to address issues and closely monitor the project progress internally to help prevent issues from arising.

  • Collaborate across all levels of the organization to support clients and internal project teams, Support all other levels of the organization and client base as subject matter expert in area of technical expertise. 

  • Participate in the Arkus team culture and Salesforce ecosystem by obtaining and maintaining certifications, contributing to the Arkus knowledge base, and/or producing technical marketing content.

  • Stay educated on new and emerging Salesforce related market offerings that may be of interest to our clients.


Qualifications:


Minimum Experience:

  • 3+ years experience as a Salesforce Administrator or Implementation Consultant.

  • 3+ years of Project Management experience.

  • 1+ years experience leading others in consultative software technology

Minimum Education/Certification:

  • BS/BA Degree from a nationally recognized university or equivalent experience.

  • Current Salesforce Administrator Certification

  • Current Salesforce Advanced Administrator Certification

  • Current Salesforce Service Consulting Certification

  • Current Salesforce Sales Consulting Certification

  • Current Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification


Preferred Experience:

  • 2+ years experience Managing a team or performing Engagement Manager duties.

  • 4+ years experience as a Salesforce Administrator or Implementation Consultant.

  • 4+ years of Project Management experience.

Preferred Education/Certification:

  • Current Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud Consultant Certification.

  • Ability to quickly build rapport and gain the respect and cooperation of both technology and business leaders.

  • Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to change communication to motivate and set expectations for a workforce with a diverse amount of experience and expertise.

    Salary Range: 110K - 150K per year
