Job Title: Senior Data Services Technical Consultant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Consultant with a strong background in Data Analytics to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data-driven decision-making, advanced analytics techniques, and the ability to work directly with clients to implement tailored solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing technical expertise, strategic advice, and actionable insights to optimize client business operations through data.
We aren't admins that take orders, we listen, process, and provide best practices and better ways to improve processes. A good consultant is always looking for the next opportunity, not just solving the current problem.
Primary Duties:

Consulting & Client Engagement:

Collaborate with clients to understand their business goals, data challenges, and analytics needs.

Conduct data assessments and audits to determine data quality, structure, and analytical capabilities.

Design and implement custom data analytics solutions to address client-specific business challenges.

Provide actionable insights and recommendations to help clients make data-driven decisions.

Data Analytics & Solution Development:

Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of analytics projects, from gathering and analyzing data to deploying solutions and monitoring results.

Develop data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to visualize key business metrics.

Utilize advanced analytics techniques (e.g., statistical modeling, machine learning) to derive insights from large datasets.

Perform data wrangling, data cleaning, and data transformation tasks to prepare data for analysis.

Technology & Tools:

Use a variety of data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) to deliver insights and reporting.

Implement and optimize cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics.

Training & Knowledge Transfer:

Train and mentor client teams on data analytics best practices, tools, and techniques.

Provide documentation and knowledge transfer for ongoing support and maintenance of analytics solutions.

Project Management & Communication:

Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.

Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.

Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., data engineers, business analysts, project managers) to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Experience: 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
Technical Skills:

2 years of experience and proficiency in SQL, data querying, and working with relational databases.

2 years experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.

2 years of experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.

Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and statistical analysis techniques is a plus.
Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and synthesize complex data.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Strong project management and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:

Certification in Data Analytics, Data Science, or Business Intelligence (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty).

2 years experience with ETL tools and data pipeline development.

2 year of experience with Agile or other project management methodologies.

Knowledge of industry-specific analytics (e.g., finance, healthcare, retail) is a plus.
