At the Catalogue for Philanthropy we believe in the power of local nonprofits to spark big change. Since 2003, we have focused on supporting, lifting up, and working alongside those in our community dedicated to making a difference. Through our locally-focused guide to giving and our capacity building efforts, we work alongside 400+ nonprofits in the Greater Washington region, having raised over $50 million for local nonprofits since our inception and training over 8,000 nonprofit professionals just last year.

Your Responsibilities

The Catalogue for Philanthropy is seeking a Nonprofit Programs Coordinator to work closely with, and report to, the Nonprofit Programs Manager to support our capacity building, awareness raising and professional development efforts. The responsibilities of the role will include:

Program Coordination:

  • Work with programming team to schedule capacity building and collaboration events for nonprofit partners
  • Manage communications with nonprofit participants before, during and after programming
  • Attend capacity building and collaboration offerings as needed to provide feedback or support
  • Support the Nonprofit Programs Manager in updating and maintaining capacity building resources
  • Manage logistics and information tied to the new nonprofit class and support these efforts related to GivingTuesday
  • Support scheduling and related logistics for consulting engagements
  • Provide logistics support for the annual Community Changemakers event and other relevant community engagement events

Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the point person for questions from our nonprofit partners, either answering them directly or sending to the correct contact
  • Support nonprofits to find opportunities to meet with Nonprofit Programs Manager or Co-Executive Director
  • Ensure timely communication with all consulting clients

Research and Information Management:

  • Support Nonprofit Programs Manager in reviewing our programmatic data
  • Maintain relevant programmatic databases and update regularly
  • Conduct external research as needed to support consulting or programmatic projects


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Nonprofit or community work a plus
  • Able to meet multiple deadlines and work both independently and in a team
  • Excellent personal relationship skills
