The Catalogue for Philanthropy is seeking a Communications & Marketing Coordinator to work closely with the Catalogue’s Co-Executive Director for Programming and Communications (“Co-Executive Director”) to support our communications, marketing, and messaging. These efforts will promote the Catalogue itself, our 400+ local nonprofits in the DC region, and our services for nonprofits across the sector.

The main responsibilities for this role will include:

Nonprofit Partner Promotion:

  • Coordinate with social media consultant and/or manage posting on our four social media accounts to engage audiences about the work of our partners
  • Coordinate with PR consultant to continue to advance local media partnerships to raise awareness of our nonprofit partners
  • Manage Catalogue blog to highlight the work of our partners
  • Organize small community events to engage new audiences with our partners and local social issues
  • Lead promotion of fall community event designed to drive support for partners


Catalogue Promotion:

  • Lead writing and creation of deliverables or graphics to promote the Catalogue to the community
  • Support the development staff in the creation of materials to demonstrate the Catalogue's impact to local donors and funding organizations
  • Research new channels or opportunities to get the word out about the Catalogue locally
  • Support promotion efforts of the Catalogue's spring fundraising event

Promotion of Nonprofit Services:

  • Work with the Co-ED to create a marketing plan for nonprofit services outside of the traditional CFP network
  • Conduct outreach to nonprofits, foundations, and other networks that might benefit from the Catalogue's services
  • Create deliverables and marketing pieces to support these marketing efforts
  • Explore, research, and secure opportunities for Catalogue staff to share expertise and reach new audiences
