General Description:                The Racial Equity and Network Coordinator will work closely with both Directors to support the development and execution of Philanthropic Network and Racial Equity Collective-related activities, programs, research, and communications that effectively engage Forefront Members and stakeholders to advance Forefront’s mission and vision.

Essential Job Duties:


Meeting and Program Coordination

Assists the Philanthropic Network Director and Racial Equity Collective Director to facilitate Forefront Member Networks and Racial Equity Collective Working Groups. Manages the coordination of member programming for assigned groups, including working with members to schedule programs, disseminate meeting invitations, and prepare materials and notes.

Supports the Philanthropic Network Director and Racial Equity Collective Director to plan meetings, workshops and determine program goals, as appropriate.

Work in partnership with Library, Philanthropic Network Director, and Racial Equity Collective Director to identify current leading practices for assigned member networks and work with Communication Team to create public-facing fact sheets, other collateral, and post/update web pages.

Works across departments to ensure that all assigned programs offer first-rate hospitality, including registration support, room readiness & set-up, welcoming guests, catering coordination, food, and drink presentation, etc.


Data Management

Manages the Racial Equity Collective listserv and Illinois Database of Racial Equity Asset Map by facilitating and integrating survey data and keeping updated records.

Manages member meeting registration and attendance records in Salesforce to ensure accuracy. Reports on program registrations and enrollments using Salesforce.

Provides organizational leadership in maximizing effectiveness of Salesforce for assigned programs and networks, including event set-up, registration procedures, and member record updates, to ensure record cleanliness, accurate reporting, and ease of members’ online registration experience.

Maintains expenditure records for assigned member groups.


Engagement and Stewardship

Participates effectively in identification of prospective members and the recruitment process; supports member retention efforts. Performs data entry to support member recruitment and retention.

Manages and supports Member Networks Co-Chairs efforts to engage members through Salesforce Chatter, Electric Embers listservs, and Google Groups discussion boards.
