Title: Program Coordinator
Reports to: Program Director

Organizational Context: Forefront is one of few regional associations in the US whose membership includes grantmakers, operating nonprofits, and their advisors. Members are its primary customers. Within the context of the mission, Forefront programs are designed to provide opportunities for networking, education, policy engagement, leadership development, and collaboration among members.
General Job Description: The Program Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing trainings, workshops, and other capacity building and professional development programs for all Forefront constituents, including operating nonprofits, grantmakers, and organizations that are fiscally sponsored by Forefront and its subsidiaries. The Coordinator also works collaboratively across the organization to engage Forefront Members and stakeholders and advance Forefront’s mission and vision.
Essential Job Duties:
Program Coordination and Execution (approx. 60%)
· Work closely with the Program Director to plan and execute Forefront’s professional development and capacity building programs and services. Collaborating with other departments when appropriate, assess sector needs; recommend and develop programs; regularly review curriculum; and support recruitment, management, and evaluation of program facilitators and instructors.
· Help to ensure all Forefront capacity building programs and activities demonstrate and uphold principles of racial and statewide equity and reflect the capacity building needs of the social impact sector.
· Support the development and delivery of customized, contracted trainings.
· Collaborate with other staff to implement collaborative programs and support quality control for implementation of Membership- or sector-wide programs.
· Coordinate equipment, registration, catering, and room and technology set up with appropriate staff.
Engagement and Stewardship (approx. 30%)
· Cultivate appropriate opportunities for Forefront Members to demonstrate leadership through engagement with Forefront sponsored programs.
· Actively partner with Membership Manager and other Forefront staff to ensure Members’ questions and requests are promptly addressed.
· Partner with broader Program, Policy, External Affairs, Administration, and members of our Senior Team to strategically maximize relationships and engagement opportunities. Actively seek opportunities for cross-department programming.
· Actively provide thought leadership, monitor sector trends, and increase Forefront’s visibility and positioning as a resource on sector issues.
· Attend Forefront events, networking events, and related meetings where designated member and community stakeholders are represented to enhance relationships with current and prospective stakeholders. Actively partner with Development and broader Program and Policy teams to identify and cultivate prospective new partners.
· Coordinate with relevant staff to ensure exceptional customer experience at all points of contact and work closely with Development and Administrative teams to ensure effective customer relationship management for all Members.
Internal (approx. 10%)
· Contribute to planning and execution of capacity building program evaluation. Work collaboratively with Program and Development teams to prepare relevant reports.
· Make effective use of Forefront systems to manage constituent records in Salesforce to ensure accuracy and support organizational reporting on accomplishments including strategic activities as well as program content, registrations, and attendance.

Position Qualifications
· At least 2 years work experience in nonprofit or philanthropy. Experience in program development or facilitation is a strong plus.
· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, prioritize work, maintain deadlines, and ensure quality of work.
· Experience leading presentations and research projects, including data analysis are a strong plus.[LMS1]
· Salesforce experience is a plus.
Location: Must be based in West-Central or Central Illinois. Regular travel to Monmouth will be required to facilitate and host Forefront programs, as well as occasional travel to Chicago for programs and events.
Special Conditions: Periodic evening work.

Salary: $50,000
