Job Ready IL Coordinator
Position Summary
The Job Ready IL Coordinator is responsible for working with partners to develop learning content and promote awareness of JobReadyIL.com.
This is a unique role with abundant opportunities for growth and expansion over time according to the individual’s interests and skills. This is a role that is intended to grow alongside you and support your long-term career goals.
Job Ready IL is a free, online-only job readiness training program. It is approved by the State of Illinois as a Qualifying Work Program for the SNAP Work Requirement. This means that, for individuals who need to demonstrate enrollment in a job training program in order to keep their SNAP benefits, Job Ready IL can offer them qualifying enrollment and training. Job Ready IL will similarly serve as a Qualifying Work Program for the Medicaid Work Requirement beginning in 2027.
Job Ready IL is a shared project between The Innovation Nexus at Forefront, the Chicagoland Workforce Funder Alliance (CWFA), Origami Works Foundation, and many other partner organizations. The Job Ready IL Coordinator will be hosted at The Innovation Nexus at Forefront.
Reports to: Product Director of The Innovation Nexus
Type: Full-time
Duration: Permanent
Location: Primarily remote (work from home) with occasional in-person meetings and events in Chicago. Employee is expected to live in or very near Chicago. In-person work space can be provided to candidates interested in a hybrid role.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
Content Coordination
- Guide partner organizations through the process of ideating and creating video and written content for virtual asynchronous job readiness courses
- Create and manage templates and guidelines for use by partners to efficiently and effectively create digital content
- Send and track emails and host meetings with partners regarding content generation
Promotional Presentation
- Lead virtual and in-person presentations in third-party spaces to share information about Job Ready IL with other organizations
- Track engagement and feedback to increase attendance to and effectiveness of future events, trainings, and presentations
Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with partners, which may include vendors, for continued content development and platform promotion over time
- Work alongside Product Director and partners at CWFA to address inquiries about and opportunities for Job Ready IL

- Can deliver virtual and in-person presentations in an engaging, informed tone
- Can lead virtual and in-person meetings with partner organizations in a comfortable, confident manner

- Ability to identify, prioritize, and balance a combination of routine tasks, event attendance, and project work
- Create and execute consistent communication with external partners without oversight
- Identify best use of team resources to support your work
Familiarity with the following technologies and tools
The following technologies and tools are required areas of familiarity:
- Google Workspace (including Google Drive and Gmail)
- Video conferencing software (including Zoom and Google Meet)
Salary
$60K - 75K commensurate with experience
