Peachjar is headquartered in beautiful San Diego, CA. Due to COVID-19 and the safety of our employees, we are temporarily working remotely. 


Major Responsibilities

●         Administer and/or maintain accounting and related systems (i.e., QuickBooks, Stripe, PayPal, TriNet Passport, etc.)    

●         Full-cycle accounts receivable including, preparation and distribution of customer invoices, refunds, reconciliation of customer records to Salesforce, collections, and more

●         Full-cycle accounts payable including, recording vendor bills, receiving approvals, payments, expense reports administration, and more

●         Payroll processing, allocations, recording and reconciliation

●         Prepare and file sales & use tax & other business tax filings

●         Perform month-end financial close processes and procedures, including preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and financial statement analysis

●         Assist in the preparation and enforcement of policies and procedures, while collaborating with others in the organization to fully understand impact to the overall company objectives

●         Provides adhoc financial reporting and analysis

●         Assist in outside audits

●         Provide financial data as requested by supervisor and senior management

●         Additional tasks as assigned by supervisor


Required Skills, Proficiencies, and Qualifications

●         Bachelor’s degree or certificate in accounting, finance or general business is required

●         Minimum of 4 years’ experience in accounting

●         Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP

●         Experience with payroll systems and timecard software

●         Exposure to regulatory environment applicable to a technology company

●         Experience with QuickBooks and/or other automated accounting systems

●         Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point

●         Strong organization, verbal and written communication skills

●         Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and have a high level of initiative

●         Problem solving – research and present solutions

●         Possess analytical skills with particular attention to detail and confidentiality

●         Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines

●         Edtech or other software industry experience is a plus
