We are looking for a dynamic, collaborative, and results-driven individual to join our team as a Sales Support and Business Development Specialist.
Job Summary:
As the Sales Support and Business Development Specialist, you will be at the heart of our growth engine. Your efforts will directly contribute to expanding our client base of innovation-based clients while enhancing our market presence. You will identify new business opportunities and build upon our extensive network of relationships. You will accomplish this through online research, virtual and in-person meetings, as well as engaging email communication. Timely outreach and regular follow-up will be essential to creating, maintaining, and strengthening these client and affiliate relationships. You will also collaborate closely with others on our sales and business development team in a hybrid capacity to ensure we meet and exceed our business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Support:

Assist the sales team with preparing proposals, presentations, and contracts: Your attention to detail will ensure our proposals are compelling and professional.

Coordinate and manage sales activities, including scheduling meetings and follow-ups: Your organizational skills will keep our sales process running smoothly.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and client interactions in the sales pipeline/CRM system: Your diligence will provide valuable insights into our sales performance.

Provide administrative support to the sales & marketing team, including generating reports and managing documentation: Your support will enable the sales team to focus on closing deals.

Perform regular follow-up tasks to ensure pipeline & communications always stay up to date: Your accuracy and efficiency in entering data will ensure our records are precise and up to date.

Conduct follow-ups and timely outreach: Your proactive communication will help build, maintain, and strengthen client relationships, ensuring no opportunities are missed.

Trade shows & industry events: You will help prepare for and potentially attend a variety of trade shows and industry events to attain clients and develop relationships with affiliate partners.
Business Development:

Identify and research potential clients and business opportunities: Your insights in collaboration with our partners will help facilitate expansion within our innovation focused verticals.

Develop and implement strategies to acquire new clients: Your innovative approaches will help us grow our client portfolio.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers: Your networking skills – largely with CEO’s, engineers, and scientists - will be crucial in furthering long-term partnerships.

Understand key trends and market opportunities: Your understanding of the dynamics of the innovation ecosystem we operate in will allow for analysis and will inform our strategic decisions.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a relevant field.

Proven experience in business development, sales support, or a similar role.

Strong understanding of sales processes and customer relationship management.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, and sales pipeline software.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with Finance/Accounting, Life Science, or Aerospace & Defense companies.

Compensation: $55,000/yr. to $85,000/yr. Multiple factors will be considered when determining the final offer amount, including candidate location, experience, and expertise.
Must be located in/near Boulder, CO.
