Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Process Development Scientist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and optimization of NGS-based assays for various applications, including clinical diagnostics, research, and drug development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize assays for various applications such as NGS, transcriptomics, single cell, spatial, and proteomics.
  • Conduct experiments to validate and troubleshoot assay performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including bioinformatics and clinical teams, to ensure successful assay development and implementation.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data, and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay current with advancements in NGS technologies and assay development methodologies.
  • Prepare technical reports, protocols, and documentation for regulatory submissions.
  • Provide technical support and training to internal teams and external partners.
  • Support other day to day activities in our NGS service lab including DNA extraction, library preparation, and sequencing.

 

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or M.S. in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in assay development, preferably in an NGS related field.
  • Strong understanding of NGS and multiomic technologies and applications.
  • Proficiency in molecular biology techniques, including PCR and library preparation.
  • Experience with bioinformatics tools and data analysis is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
