The Senior Workday Functional Lead will play a crucial role in the design, configuration, and implementation of Workday's Time and Absence modules. This role requires a deep understanding of technical integration capabilities and customization options within Workday, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective solutions that meet business needs.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of Workday Time and Absence modules, ensuring alignment with business requirements and compliance standards.
  • Analyze and document business processes related to time tracking and absence management; translate requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Develop and execute integration strategies for Workday Time and Absence modules with other HR systems, including Payroll, Benefits, and third-party applications using Workday Studio, Core Connectors, and other integration tools.
  • Design and implement customizations within Workday to enhance user experience and streamline processes, including calculated fields, business processes, and custom reports.
  • Conduct unit testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate configurations and integrations; troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Provide expertise in Workday best practices for Time Tracking, Absence Management, and related integrations to guide the project team and stakeholders.
  • Create comprehensive documentation, including configuration guides, integration specifications, and user training materials.
  • Stay current with Workday updates, releases, and emerging technologies; assess their impact on existing configurations and recommend enhancements.
  • Mentor and support junior team members in configuration best practices, integration techniques, and functional knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Workday configuration, with a focus on Time and Absence modules and related integrations.
  • Proven track record of leading Workday implementations and/or upgrades, with strong technical acumen in Workday integrations.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR processes related to time tracking and absence management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Workday certification in Time and Absence modules is a plus.
