Position Overview:
The Grants Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of grant compliance, reporting, and tracking for all governmental and private grants across all departments of the organization. This includes staying up-to-date with all grant submissions, proposals, and grant award agreements. As well as monitoring and reporting on all grant performance across all departments and ensuring compliance with all funding requirements. The Grants Manager will work closely with program managers, data and finance staff, and leadership to coordinate tracking and compliance of all grant awards with applicable grant award agreements and deliverables.
Core Responsibilities

Grant Administration and Compliance – 40%

Ensure compliance with all grant requirements, including reporting deadlines, performance metrics, and financial guidelines.

Monitor and track grant-funded activities to ensure alignment with the stated objectives and deliverables.

Work with finance staff to track expenditures and ensure proper allocation of grant funds.

Grant Reporting – 20%

Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports to funders, including progress updates, financial reports, and evaluation outcomes.

Maintain detailed records of grant activities, correspondence, and documentation for audit purposes.

Collaborate with Data Team to supply accurate data for reports.

Collaboration and Communication – 30%

Act as the primary point of contact for grant-related inquiries and correspondence with funders.

Collaborate with program managers and other staff to ensure all grant activities are effectively implemented.

Communicate grant awards and deliverables to stakeholders, including leadership and key staff members.
General Responsibilities

Participate in all required staff meetings and events.

Maintain up-to-date calendar and work plan.

Utilize – agency-wide systems and protocols for all agency business.

Offer at least 24 hours' notice for internal meeting cancellations/rescheduling.

Maintain Chain of Support for internal communications.

Other responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education and Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree, with preference in nonprofit management, public administration, or a related field.

3 years or more of experience in grant compliance, administration, or a similar role preferred.

Experience with government grant compliance and reporting is ideal but not required.
Skills and Competencies

Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills.

Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Knowledge of grant management software and tools is a plus.

Familiarity with nonprofit budgeting and financial management practices is a plus.
