Job Description
Climate United Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (“Climate United”), is seeking a full-time Director or Senior Director of Communications to lead our communications and marketing efforts at Climate United. The Director will be instrumental in shaping and executing comprehensive strategies to amplify the impact of Climate United and the National Clean Investment Fund program, a pivotal program driving and equitable clean energy transition. This role will collaborate closely with other Climate United teams including Strategy, Community Outreach, Investments, and Policy, as well as the leadership team broadly, to ensure cohesive messaging and branding across all communication channels. This role will also lead the management of our relationship with external communications agencies.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute innovative communications and marketing plans to enhance awareness of Climate United among key stakeholders, including investors, partners, and the communities we serve.

Oversee and drive the creation of compelling content across various platforms such as social media, website, press releases, and marketing materials, effectively conveying the organization's mission, partners, and achievements.

Foster collaboration with internal teams and external partners to maintain consistent messaging and branding, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values.

Develop and oversee robust and ongoing internal communications strategies to ensure that we stay connected across the Climate United team and coalition as the organization grows.

Utilize data analysis to monitor and optimize the performance of communications and marketing initiatives, providing strategic recommendations for continuous improvement.

Oversee the planning and execution of impactful events, webinars, and outreach activities to engage stakeholders and the broader public in the mission of the National Clean Investment Fund program.

Provide support to the leadership team for key speaking engagements and events, representing Climate United with credibility and professionalism.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in a senior communications role.

Extensive experience in communications, marketing, or public relations, preferably within the impact investment, green finance, or financial sector, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry best practices.

Proficiency in digital marketing, social media management, and content creation, with a keen eye for crafting impactful narratives and messages.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and engaging manner.

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data insights for informed decision-making and performance optimization.

Previous experience in event planning and management is highly desirable, demonstrating the ability to organize successful, high-profile engagements.
